Aerus ActivePure® Technology Air and Surface Purifier Provides 99.98% COVID-19 Surface Reduction Rate in Controlled, Independent Laboratory Studies Data collected in the study showed a 93% surface reduction in 3 hours and 98% surface kill in 6 hours of live SARS-CoV-2, even when covered by a protective biofilm, with the Aerus Hydroxyl Blaster and its patented ActivePure® Technology.
São Paolo, Brazil - Mitsubishi Motors of Brazil has announced plans to outfit its Pajero Full 2017 SUV with AutoPure, a technology developed and owned by Aerus, LLC, formerly Electrolux USA. An early stage version of the technology was developed by NASA scientists to manage contaminants on the International Space Station.
Recognizing Aerus' significant investment in the commercialization of this NASA technology, the Space Foundation recently inducted the firm and its founder into the Space Technology Hall of Fame, a great tool for highlighting the contribution space makes to our economy.
Inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2017, ActivePure® Technology was originally named ActivePure® Technology Radiant Catalytic Ionization (RCI) Technology and was developed by NASA scientists to eliminate ethylene gas onboard the International Space Station.
During a natural gas leak from this well in Aliso Canyon in late 2015 and early 2016, thousands of residents were relocated from the neighboring Los Angeles neighborhood of Porter Ranch. But thousands more were able to stay in place after Southern California Gas ordered 10,000 Air Scrubber Plus units and distributed them to residents. The devices are based on a more advanced form of an air purifier built for NASA in the 1990s, which breaks down organic contaminants in the air.
